I created two main outcomes for this project:

DESIGN PROCESS
In my process I wanted to focus on translating sounds into design, especially lettering. Firstly I experimented with how many different ways I could illustrate sound waves, which then developed into how I would imagine typography being expressed as sounds.

This is a sketch of a design proposal for typography based on sound waves, experimenting with how many bars I should use to make it both legible and visually appealing.

Glyphs: A software for creating typography. I designed the variable typeface in here to then be exported for external use.

'Numerus' (rhythm in latin) is the variable typeface in which I designed to be added to the sound reactive code. It is consisted of 8 different variables, entirely customisable, and is inspired by sound wave bars.
